The   Consulate  General  of  the  Philippines  in   Chicago,  which  was established in 1948, aims to foster close and mutually beneficial relations between the Philippines and the Midwest region of the United States, particularly in the fields of trade, investments, tourism, culture and people-to-people relations. 

The Consulate also services the consular requirements of the growing Filipino community, extends assistance to nationals in distress and conducts regular outreach programs to the 14 states under its jurisdiction.
